Women of Color STEM Entrepreneurship Conference 2018

The 2018 Women of Color STEM Entrepreneurship Conference was held from October 4-6th at the Beus Center for Law and Society at ASU's downtown Phoenix campus. To recognize the importance of Law, CGEST added the theme of Governance, represented by a track of breakout sessions specifically engaging with this area.

Over the next two weeks, we will share reflections from this conference from perspectives of staff and attendees.

Oliver Dean, our new Management Intern, who handled photography and video recording, had this to say:

This conference was a means to an end, a way to bridge the gap between the questions and the answers for Women of Color in STEM. It lays the foundations for the great work that is being done for the underrepresented girls and women of color in STEM fields. It encourages high school girls to pursue STEM careers and incites Entrepreneurship opportunities for the future. As one who was working behind the scenes with the CGEST team to make this happen, I am proud to have been part of such a talented unique panel of people who united together with the same goals.

Thank you, Oliver!
