Happy 100th Birthday, Katherine Johnson!

Yesterday was the 100th birthday of Katherine Johnson, the influential NASA mathematician whose calculations helped send John Glenn safely into space in 1962. She was portrayed by actor Taraji P. Henson in the movie adaptation of Margot Lee Shetterly's book Hidden Figures which told the story of three Black women who did mathematics at NASA in a time of extreme segregation and exclusion of Black women.
