Noelani serves on the Board of Directors for PBS Hawaii and Hawaii Island United Way and is a member of the Big Island Community Coalition Steering Committee and an Omidyar Fellow. She is also passionate about working at the grassroots level to encourage collective impact through positive systems change.

Noelani Kalipi has been active primarily in providing and acquiring sponsors and collaborators for the conference. She has also been very helpful in the development and planning of goals, panels, discussions, and events for the conference. Her work has helped The Women of Color in STEM Entrepreneurship Conference stand out among any other STEM conference by creating a multi-generational conversation on the topic on underrepresentation in STEM careers. She also hopes this will inspire long-term working relationships and implement collaborative action plans to achieve audacious goals in the area of gender equity in STEM.
