Staff Spotlight: Miracle Freckleton
Miracle Freckleton is a Graduate Research Assistant at CGEST and we love having Miracle's expertise on our team. Currently a graduate student in the Women and Gender Studies program at ASU where Blackness, queerness, locality, embodiment, and intimacy are central to her research interests and fit in perfectly with the mission and programs at our center.
Her work at CGEST includes researching girls of color in STEM through numerous avenues. This work includes creating literature synthesis for multiple projects, aiding in various data analysis types, curating this information into writing, and researching any vital areas for the team.
Miracle has been immensely helpful in expanding the amount of research CGEST has been able to conduct and she brings a unique perspective that is valuable and highly welcomed to our team.

What is the best thing about your job?
Deepening my understanding of intersectionality and learning about and sharing different research approaches with my colleagues.
What has been one of your proudest moments at CGEST?
I feel proud every time I complete a piece of writing and present it to CGEST leadership.
What has been the most impactful tech innovation you use in your everyday life?
My phone and laptop. My phone’s screen time averages 6 hours a day, and I know my laptop screen time supersedes that!
